Jim,

Maybe you've forgotten just how poorly the JD cast closing wheel performed? If you're going more than 4 - 5 mph, the Deere cast closing wheels are hopping so badly that they're airborne at least half the time (zero closing action) and when they come back down, they hammer the soil so hard that nothing emerges unless you get a timely rain.
