I read it again and you say it DOES spray in that position. I guess I've never tried that but what Virginia Veg. says makes sense because as soon as you turn the pump on the screen will bounce around between 9 and 11 PSI in mine with the booms off so I bet he hit the nail on the head. Sorry about that.
