Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | My wife bought a Canon DM100 (?) and does all of that with it. She can use it, and immediately put the disc into a regular DVD player and play it. I believe that to use it in a player, she has to "finalize" it, meaning that the disc cannot be written to again. With a DVD-RW disc, I think she can prep it someway to go to player and back to recorder. To actually convert the DVD format to a format viewable on her PC, she had to purchase some kind of low cost conversion software. Otherwise, she could burn from a mini DVD to a regular DVD, but could not actually save and view from the HD of the PC, only from the DVD drive..
