Mid Michigan | You might have figured it out right there. He might have the clutch turned around backwards. The clutch pedals have a LOT of travel on those things. Once you turn the flywheel down and bolt the pressure plate back on it all comes down to how much travel the clutch pedal has. Most of them have more than enough to make up for any flywheel turning. Throwout bearing just comes forward and hits the pressure plate fingers and disengages the clutch. Could the pressure plate fingers be worn off or missing? I just did a clutch a few months ago and had to set the fingers with a outside caliper to get them all the same. Pretty staightforward job. I wouldn't think it's the flywheel that is ground too far. | |
