Subject: Re: Buick 3300 losing coolant:

Alberta, Canada
I just did my Pontiac Transport van 1999 model 3.4 with 145,000 miles. I had already replaced the intake gaskest on it once before this for a coolant leak!. The head gaskets were really in poor shape I don't know what the issue is other than maybe having aluminum heads and a steel block?? No wonder GM is in trouble with building stuff like this. The guy at the head shop told me my van is not really worth fixing anymore if I had to pay to have it done. As he said it's a $2400 bill if I were to bring it and pay them to do it!!
