Glad it is has been a help. To answer your questions:

1. On Ebay you can find a TON of these things for sale. Also, I know mobilehid.com also sells them but they are more expensive.

2. Yeah, I have thought about putting the kits together and selling them. Maybe at the Farm Science Review this fall.

3. The housing I bought from Deere will only accept the 9005 fitting. In fact, I think every oval hallogen work lamp on the 8x30 and 9x30 JD tractors takes a 9005 bulb, but I could be wrong about that. Every housing has only one (I think) size/shaped fitting it will receive.

4.The boots on the back of the housing where the bulb snaps in and where there is a connector on the original factory hallogen setup. It is an extra weatherproofing step that I will gladly pay $2 per for since the old lights I took off had water in them.
