Mark,

It's tough to quit cold turkey. I don't smoke, but retiring from the forum is gonna take a bit. I had to make one comment in Boiler room and I saw this topic and had to reply.

;I have seen one pulled in two. Some years back, a local BTO, (names not mentioned to protect the innocent) was pulling a Deere 12 row. It was one of those wet wet springs, much like now. He has a g***illion acres to plant, and thought he had to get it done. A disclaimer to this is the fact that he actually does very little of the field work, hires so flunkies for that. Started out pulling the planter loaded with coulters, whippers, and all with a 4430, got stuck, got the next tractor, got it stuck, finally got the 8640 hooked on and pulled it in two. I know, I saw it.

It was those planters back when Monsanto had some leasing program through Deere.

I have a conservation planter with the extra bar in front of the 7 X 7 bar, this was a single bar drag planter and they should have known better, but some are slow to learn.

With my own eyes, but not a 24 row, just a 12.
