If you lived next to me or most of my neighbors, you would not need to build a fence to keep us out.  Most of us were raised to respect the property of others, stay off of it, and not tell them what they should be doing with it.  We have not needed fences for a long time for the most part.:

Also: I don't automatically think less of those who've requested a fence to keep their cattle in although I'd feel a little silly asking if the shoe was on the other foot.  They are within their rights under Iowa fence law to do so and could possibly consider it necessary for competitive reasons much like my reluctant participation in farm programs.

If I had the right group of fence viewers, the flamingo fence could possibly get accepted under rule #6.  :)
