S.E. Iowa | Lets ask a question that may be more far fetched. I decide to put in an orchard or vineyard or grow a crop that is extremely susceptible to wind blown herbicides or my ground and crops are organic and become contaminated by geneticly engineered pollen from your fields. Should I be penalized by having to give up some of my property for use as buffer strips or should you be required to erect a containment barrier protecting my property from your crops. I started this saying it was far fecthed, but a letter to the editor in the may 12th Fairfield Ledger , fairfield Iowa is calling for perimeter zones around the city to be set up, protecting the town from wind blown glyposate. | |
