I agree that the numbers can be manipulated. However numbers from a reputable breeder who truly believes in and uses them himself, ALONG WITH VISUAL EVALUATION/CONFORMATION and his knowledge of a bull's pedigree on both the top and the bottom (often neglected) sides, can be a useful guide. EPD's with high accuracy can be VERY useful but again along with visual evaluation and experience with the line. But they are just ONE of several tools in the tool box. Jim at Dawn |
