Yah, nother gov. run mess,, but hopefully will be the more the future in travel.  America really screwed up when it moved from rail to air transport.

Nothing wrong with flying, but for most shorter trips for people, and longer distance especially for freight, Train's are way more efficient than planes.

Train efficiency needs a lot of upgrading and can be done.  Lot of hours and productivity lost  loitering around airports for hours waiting to get in a little metal tube to zip a few hundred miles.... followed by more waiting...
