E.Central MN | Those crank devices help some of the time, but some ornery cows will still kick. Had one that we still had to put a rope on its leg and then it tried to kick with the other leg. Thought it would get better after a few days, nope, so we kept tying it up for a couple weeks, calf would suck if we tied the cow up and put the kant kick on her. But the cow wouldn't let it suck any other way. Should have hauled the dang black/whiteface cow to the slaughter plant. Thought it was because it was her first calf, but she did it again the next year. We shipped her. | |
