This is what I did to repair a steel line on the side of a Cotton module builder using new left over hydraulic tubing from TL pivot.
Cut bad end of tubing off, installed 318-08 flare tube nut, install 319-08 flare tube sleeve, then flare the end of the tubing.
Flaring is the hard part, it is hard to clamp the tubing well enough. You need a 37 degree flaring tool and not a 45 degree tool used for plumbing.
Might help to heat the tubing right before trying to flare it. Not sure.
I bought fittings from Hydraulics Direct. (Shipping is high restock your hydraulic fittings or whatever else you need)
Cheap flaring tool from O'Reilly Auto Parts.
