I have ridge tilled in the past so here is my thought the corn stalks would needed to be chopped very fine. Then use a Buffalo till planter and move a lot of dirt to cover stalks . Cultivate or ridge the beans to for next corn planting . You didn't give location so thinking stalks would break down quickly there. Band your fertilizer maybe not so deep.
