My cover crop wheat made 85 bu corn,my normal corn made 125 in a drought I guess,we destroyed the wheat April 10 th when we knew it was not going to make any bushels
we have been no tilling cover crops in the fall and usually chop silage first part of May
it works if you have moisture as a cattle feeder,if no moisture here it does not work
we spread 10 ton acre of bedding pack manure every year on every acre,i have seen no rise in organic matter
