Subject: Value of Rye Cover With Soybeans

Would like to see some discussion on the use and value of a rye cover crop before soybeans. Bonus points if it’s involved in a “continuous” or soybeans on soybeans environment.

Would like to leave the erosion factor out of this equation. More wanting to look at yield on the soybeans after the rye. How was it affected? Any other agronomic notes of value?

Dave Brandt used to claim 5 bushel advantage to beans planted after rye. Curious is anyone else has yield data as such.
