$30,000 per credit for farmland. Here. Or, about $30,000 per acre to create a new wetland ecosystem on your own land. That’s been our experience. Really stupid considering the east half of this county has created more wetlands than 50 years plus ago by wrecking the original farm drainage. Then they wonder why houses get flooded.
Is it true that they make you replace more than you actually take? Tile a .2 wetland, they make you purchase, say, .5 for example? |
