I use a rolling basket pulled behind a tractor on standing corn stalks, go as fast as you can handle it in the seat, bends them over or cracks them off making it easier on rake and baler teeth and allows windrow to be built nicely with our Rowse rake. set rake as light as you want depending how much we want to leave behind, works well for us
