Calmer stalk rolls on deere chopping head. We roll first and follow shortly with rake. Best rake I've found is hydraulic bar rake. An r23. They are getting cheap enough now can own a couple and leave them in area without folding them up. Get almost preprocessed bales that way and try to leave a good chuck of residue in the field. 1000-3000 depending if some custom work is involved.
