Wheelersburg and Lancaster, Ohio | I use a three point hitch type disc mower. Not conditioning rolls. Leaves a few stalks long enough to hold the bale together with less net wrap. If I want to leave some ground cover I hold the rake up so the wheels are just barely tickling the ground. Takes a good rake operator though. My dad in this photo never looks back. Normally I’d like to leave a little more cover. This filed got a cover crop planted the next day.
