If you stay with QuickBooks, look at a system called QBox. For about $10/month (likely higher now?) two people can share a single QuickBooks program (you only need one QuickBooks license) through a remote connection. It's simple to set up and use, and most people who've used it say it's bulletproof (I tried it and liked it but ended up deciding we didn't really need it).
Your Dad's would be the "master" QuickBooks installation, and you would access it remotely. Only one of you could enter data in QuickBooks at a time (the one who currently has a "lock" on it), but the other can still print reports. When you're done you release the lock. | |
