SW Minnesota | Last year we switched from manure pack bedding to sand freestall as our scc was getting too high. the sand has really helped our scc already, now the next problem we have is the manure, we have an earthen lagoon but do not want much sand in it. We are thinking of a 2 stage pit, the first pit would be cement & the manure would go in first & then have a pipe draining the water & manure into the lagoon & hopefully most of the sand would settle out in the cement pit. Anyone know how much a 40 X 50 pit 8 ft deep would cost. just trying to get a feel on what we can expect for prices. Thanks | |
