Subject: Tubing calf

Midwest
I have a calf that doesnt want to suck. Born late in the night monday. Tuesday morning I gave it colustrum with a bottle, (tried to get it to nurse mother, but she kept kicking at us) nursed the bottle great. Last night didnt want to eat, so I tubed it. This morning didnt want to eat, so I tubed it. I tried several times today with the bottle still dont want it. Got some meds from the vet, he says dont tube it anymore, just work with it. I have tried and tried. So, should I tube it again tonight? Its thin. The mother wants to kick at us when I try to help/make it nurse. There are times when its much easier to have a calf born dead, than to fool with one and the end result is the same. Whats the most times you have ever tubed a calf?
Trying to haul grain and get equipment ready, alot going on. At least the weather is nice!
