Well, steel shrinks when it is heated and then cools which is what causes most of the distortion when welding. To get a pressed in bearing race out of a wheel or hub just weld a bead around on the inside of the race and the race will probably fall out when it cools. But here you are welding on the metal holding the bushing, but my WAG is still that the hole will be smaller after welding. So, have your set of reams handy.
