Subject: RE: Found A Case 4690

Callao Missouri
I just overhauled a 3594, it has the same 504 engine. I did all the work myself but I farmed out the machine work. I have $4500 in the engine but that includes a new cam and lifters as well as two torque limmeter disks and a harmonic ballancer through CIH. I did all the labor myself. They are a pretty easy machine to work on. You will like the Case 4wd I know I sure have liked the 4890 & 4894 that I have run in the past. Power to spare and a good cab. Plus those tractors are super easy to work on if you have been used to a Deere 4wd you will throw rocks at it after you spend time on the case. Don't let someone scare you about the powershift they are a good unit and if you have to rebuild it you know what you have after that. The one's that get expencive are the ones that hire someone else to rebuild it for them. Jon
