ND

Maybe this will help you depending on system and serial #

Solution Summary: Engine Oil Pressure Gauge Fails Or Erratic / Engine Oil Pressure Light On, Codes CCU 005, 020, 021, 022, 098

Publication Date: Mar 4 2003

Complaint:

Engine oil pressure gauge erratic or does not work.  Engine oil pressure light on and code(s) CCU 005, 020, 021, 022 or 098.  Problem may have developed after installing gauge or CCU.

Problem:

CCU not calibrated correctly for engine oil pressure switch and/or sensor that are on the tractor.

Solution:

Check CCU address 35 for proper calibration:

"001" for tractors with oil pressure gauge sensor (3-wire) only

"010" for tractors with oil pressure switch (2-wire) only

"011" for tractors with both oil pressure gauge sensor and switch

Additional Information:

Tractors with the standard cab do not have an engine oil pressure gauge and will have a 2 wire oil pressure switch for the warning system.  If the gauge is field installed, these tractors will also have a 3-wire sensor.

The following "early" tractors with deluxe cab have both 2-wire oil pressure switch and the 3-wire sensor for the oil pressure gauge and the warning system:

8100(-1396)

8200(-1382)

8300(-2303)

8400(-1090)

Deluxe cabs after the above serial numbers use only the 3-wire oil pressure sensor for the gauge and the warning system.

NOTE:  If the oil pressure switch fails on a tractor with both the 2-wire switch and the 3-wire sensor, the switch can be removed, the port plugged and the 2-wire harness connector capped.  Change CCU address 35 to "001".
