Subject: 4730 (Lil' Hoss)

Athens, Illinois
Was spraying the other day and was on a steep hill, backed in the corner and sprayer didn't have enough hydrostatic power the make the sprayer move . No wheel spin and no forward movement. Only had on about 300gl. Had to back up and turn sideways, fold boom up, and after several tries I got out. No doubt the hydro pressure should be checked. I saw in the book that when you back up it has hydro boost, I'm assuming that means increase of pressure. What would it take so I can use the increase in pressure going forward for a situation like I had ? I was thinking of adding a switch that you depress momentary to boost pressure. Besides just tapping into the wires for reverse would you also need a servo valve? Machine does not have traction control. TIA
