Last year I had a couple electrical contactor and relay failures from ants getting in and nesting in the electrical boxes. I have never had this problem at the other farm bin site but this one seems to have an abundance of ant colonies. I selaed up some of the boxes better and sprayed some bug killer in the boxes but I am anticipating more problems later this spring when the ants get busy again.

Any suggestions or remedys? I thought about putting about a pint of permethrin or another insecticide around the base of the fan pads and creating a barrior. Not sure if this would help or not.
