Driftless SW Wisconsin
A neat trick with a 3 point mounted toolbar and Pluribus units is to use a very heavy duty hydraulic top link (Gnuse (sp?) I think is the brand I've seen used) and you have an in cab on the go means of tweaking the bar SLIGHTLY nose up (for wet spots) or nose down (for hard knolls). This sensitivity is also why we need a good, HD, aligned, base bar to work with. You are right, I have no expertise on the 2 + 2 tractor! Depending on your terrain, an FWA works best. The problem with articulated and even tracked tractors in some terrain is that every time you (or a guidance system) in strip till turn the steering wheel the back end wags the other way sometimes causing guidance problems. On an fwa the back end moves gradually and trackng is better. The turning centers are also very different on articulated, tracked and fwa. Just my experience. Jim at Dawn edit: a nice thing about what you are doing is that you are seing what the system can do and gaining strip till experience. Thank you.
