SE MN
Our ferilizer plant manager always told us to leave the 10-34-0 in it over winter. We did and never had any problems. Traded the planter for a new one this year and the old one got emptied out. The new owner called me and the plunger in the manifold was stuck and had to be pressed out, then it worked. I guess even though it seems wrong it is probably best to leave the fertilizer in them.
