Pocahontas County, IA | I would think 200 hp would do the job. I'm pulling an 8 row 30 inch strip-till rig with a 4555 mfwd. I was told it would take 180 hp. The 4555 should be a little shy of that but so far so good. As far as the 49's having a shorter turning radius, I doubt it but can't say for sure. I used spacers on the front wheels to get them to 120 inches. That helps with turning but to get it back on the row in 20 feet takes a wide headland. I have an EZ Steer 500 and will skip a pass to make turning easier for a few rounds then go back and fill in what I skipped. Good Luck! | |
