Subject: Case IH ASM --getting ready to start

My 1250 planter finally came in and will hopefully be ready to plant by the end of the week (it's just one week to late after we already started planting with the 7200).

We have row hoppers (no bulk)...is it necessary to add talc or just graphite? I've heard differing opinions, but the most consistent is that bulk needs 50/50 talc/graphite, but non-bulk graphite only....

Do you spray the seed discs with spray graphite? Spray the meter cover? How much powdered graphite should I add to each hopper? Do you need to put graphite in for beans, too?

After trying to plant some enormous flat seeds yesterday with the old 7200 vac, I'm looking forward to the new planter. Hopefully we can get it going pretty quickly.... we spared ourselves from the pro600 stuff.
