Pennyrile, West Ky. | If it has the large metal rotary screen it's at least a 78, in 79 they had the flat rotary screen like a 66 or 7720, after that they went to 4420, only difference being the cylinder for the unload auger, if it has the cloth seat it should be a later model unless the seat was an add on, the later model 44's had the same drive wheel bolt pattern as a 66 or7700, that's a big difference as the final drives are much larger than the earlier models, It sounds like your looking at a nice machine but you don't say if its gas or diesel, which has a lot to do with the value, the 44 is a great machine, but as someone who had one for over 20 years the main thing I can say is give a good look for a 6600, HYDRO is soooo cool, "my thoughts", have a great day.... | |
