IL | I am starting to make my own mixes for the barrows and gilts with a electric cement mixer. ( smallest batch we can make, and do a good job is 500#). I can make a 100# batch with this outfit, allowing me to change my ration on a day's notice. Different pigs will take a different ration real shortly. ( have abut 14 on feed, barrows and gilts). But one little thing I am running into is a less than complete mix, from inside to outside. Tonight I dumped the batch in a pan and finished with a hoe, and came out alright, but I would like to get this idea perfected to save that step. Could it not be turning fast enough to work the butt end of the ingrediants,to the outer opening? Driven pulley is 20" and the driver on the 1/2 hp motor is 2". | |
