Central MN | Thanks for the great replies. Re the transmission, it is a 20 speed. i should have mentioned that. And it is the "Inside" lever hence I assume it is the transmission range that has the issue. The previous owner told me he replaced the ball/spring for the second range which he called the "Drop Box". I assume this is the range within the transfer case. He informed me that this was not too bad of a job but that the one in the transmission range was tough to get too so he simply left it in low range.
He thought it ws likely that you would have to go in through the top which meant giong through the floor of the cab. does this sound right or is there a better way? | |
