Subject: Farmworks

Redwood Falls, MN
I use Farmworks to normalize my yields (they call it statistical) just like mentioned in SST. My yield maps from year to year or field to field all look the same even if the corn yields were 50 bushel different from another field or year. I have a set color template that has dark green at the top, yellow in the middle and red at the bottom. I then let the program automatically fade between those colors with a total of 7 yield ranges. In 2003 the top range was above 162 and the bottom below 95. This year the top was above 237 and the bottom below 79. There's a table that tells me how many data items, the minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation.
Farmworks also lets you do equal count and equal ranges.
