Where Lewis and Clark finished the rum | SSToolbox also has "normalize" yield, from which you can also do a yield stability index. I really think this is the right track, since it will show areas of consistantly high or low yields. Those areas will be easiest to address, I should think. What one does with areas that are high one year and low the next or high in one crop and low in the next are going to be more of a challenge, I'd bet.
Once you get the stability index done, would be interesting to do a distribution on that index. That is, what percent of a field is always high yielding, or always low yielding etc.
