First, my chipcard can store about 200 numbers, so I made an habit to store my numbers on that chipcard,
Second, I bought datacables for all phones that I could and backup my chipcard.
I chose my datacables from the same software provider so as to have an interoperability.
For the smartphones, I use the outlook conduits preferably to any other specific contact management software.
I furthermore use yahoo's syncing software to backup my outlook contacts.
