I've got an original Vantage Pro. It was 600 at the time. I see the new ones are the same price, just better range and some other stuff I'm forgetting now. Maybe you can find them cheaper, but I haven't looked too much.

Theirs is a really slick working rain guage, it indicates 1/100 of an inch while many cheaper units will only read every 1/10.

I have not yet used the PC interface that came with mine.

They have a little humor programed in, in addition to the scrolling message telling me that average wind speed one day last week was 40 mph, it added "Hang on to your hat !!" ;-)
