It depends. Last fall I bought a condo in the Mpls/St Paul metro area. From first contact with Realtor to closing was 35 days.
Purchase offer acceptance was less than 36 hours from time of signing it. We signed the PO on Sunday morning @ 10 AM and by 2 Monday afternoon, it was accepted.
