Colby, Kansas | Didn't know rather to put this here or market talk. I'm looking the possibility of buying a home in the next 4-8 months in a city of around 250,000. I know there are foreclosed homes there. Most internet searches provide very little information without a paid subscription and the sites are laden with advertisements. Not saying I "have" to buy a foreclosed home but it would be nice to find out some more information on whats available and how it might work for me.
So my questions are:
1. Has anyone here tracked down and purchased a foreclosed home, if so how did you find it, and anything important a person should know
2. Is there anywhere to get good information for free, if not which pay site is legit and worth it.
3. Anything else a first time home purchaser should know.
