| For the flow paths, depression maps were generated by a software company http://geektechforag.com it does a lot more than just topo. It sell for approx $1,200. In our area farmers can use an outside service that charges approx $4/ acre if you supply the RTK topo points or $8/ acre if the collect and process the data. So even the cost of $4/ acre it would take only a 300 acre field to pay for the software. This company also supplies additional software to be used on an iPaq or laptop to be used in the field. Give them a call.
The 3-d map was done with a MapInfo program Vertical Mapper, but it could be done with Surfer or MapCalc, and I may be wrong but I understand this could have been done with SMS advanced.
