I almost never wear gloves, even in the winter.  If things are really dirty/greasy, I'd rather wash my hands than throw out a pair of gloves.  That being said, I don't like dirty nails all the time either.  I keep Invisible Glove in the shop for use before special occasions.  Makes cleanup afterwards much easier.  Any brand is probably the same.
