We've had trucks with BC II, III, and IV engines. No real problems with any of them. We did have a BC III overhauled, due to a head gasket failure which dumped coolant into a cylindar and galled a piston, but that engine had a lot of hours on it and was due a good overhaul.

Agree about the need to keep the coolant treated to prevent electrolysis.
