Subject: Massey 4800 shifting problem

Beaverton Ontario Canada
Weve had this tractor for almost a year now and ever since weve had it its been a pain shifting gears. Is it posssible to shift the ranges or the hi/lo while moving? When shifting it always grinds getting it into gear, even while at a standstill and the clutch fully depressed. Its acting as if the clutch is draging a bit and the trany brake is unable to stop the transmission completely. What is the proper procedure for clutch adjusment on these tractors? Im guessing the tranny brake will also need adjusting if not more work if its been trying to fight the clutch. Or is there something else wrong here that im not seing?

I believe onion farmer is the expert on these tractors but i apreciate anyones imput
Thanks
