| I didn't mean to infer that your "coach" would do anything to put an injured kid at risk. My point being that some coaches will and question their courage and commitment to the team if they choose not to.
The beloved Hayden Fry often made comments about individual players and state that they will play hurt. As if that is a positive and it would be if winning is your only objective. My kid in the hospital with a concussion was enough for me. I played football and loved it but I would never allow my kid to play after seeing him in the hospital not knowing up from down.
BTW. while he was hospitalized he did not get a visit from the coach or as much as a telephone call. If I was a coach, I would have followed the ambulance to the hospital as a kids well being would be my main concern. | |
