Some days I do could to remember my way home. I remember small, useless details. Example, can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday. But I can tell you the ten words on the first spelling test I had in the third grade. Can't remember a face. However once someone tells me who they are I can remember the last conversation I had with them in detail.
ADD is a challenge. I kid about my dyslexia. I think it is more of a short term ordering within my memory. Once I know a phone number I never forget it.
In a room full of people, I hear every conversation and process the info from each. Annoying as heck at times.
