Yep, that's the sprockets that come on it new. Doesn't it have them on the planter?
I think the book says that because you can put that one on in place of the 16-24-30 to get lower rates.
I do know the book is way off on accuracy of chart. I got mine set to like 220 lbs/ac and still putting on 275 lbs/ac. That is probably why he wrote his own sprocket numbers in the book, I have done the same thing. I can look tomorrow and see what tooth sprockets I have on to get the 275 lbs/ac. Email me if you wish, I think? maybe I have that other sprocket that came with the new planter.
It also depends on the bulk density of the dry fertilizer and which rate augers you're using. I can help you with that as I have 28 years experience with IH dry fert. | |
