| With all the talk of "alternative energy" I wonder how many have looked at small scale hydro power? With all the water sources, irrigation lakes, etc, I wonder how viable it might be. The technolgy is well proven and has been used for years. You can also turn it on and off when YOU want to. I have been looking at building a small lake here that would hold approximately 10-15 acre feet, and has a large drainage basin. It would have something over 15 feet of head at full pool. These systems will run on from 5 feet of head up, by the looks of it. Anyone looked into it? | |
