| You still have to have an operable parking brake to be DOT legal because of the cylinder leak issue nebfarmer mentioned. We have had one in a 1976 IH 1700 since 1978 or 9 & never have had it fail, not saying it won't fail today. Reason we installed it was because the elevator we use to haul to had a steep grade going up into the headhouse & the regular parking brake wouldn't hold the truck on the grade when loaded. | |
